Questions people ask
What should I wear?
Whatever you're comfortable in. Sundays at Tekoa are casual, so come as you are.
How long is the service?
About 60 to 75 minutes, starting at 10:30 AM.
What is the music like?
Worship comes first at Tekoa, so we start by singing together. Modern worship with a live band. We pull from various styles or worship with a focus on Jesus and being sensitive to the Spirit's leading. Lyrics are on the screens.
Do I need to give?
No. Giving is for our church family, and guests are never expected to give.
Do I need to bring a Bible?
No, you don't need to bring anything. Verses are on the screens for you, but it's always great to be able to reference your Bible if you have one.
Is there coffee?
Yes, we always have good coffee. Refreshments are free, and you're welcome to stay after service to talk.
What if I'm not sure what I believe?
You're welcome here. Questions are always OK, and you don't need to have it all figured out to come on Sunday.
Is the building accessible?
Yes. The Willow Glen Community Center has accessible parking spots, ramps into the building and accessible restrooms. If you'd like a hand getting in, mention it when you let us know you're coming and we'll be glad to help.
We'll be looking for you
Our greeters are out front every Sunday with a smile and a sign. Say hi, and they'll help you find your way in.
