Vision

To be a place known by the community to help all people.

We believe there is a spiritual battle that we are in.  God is calling us to prepare a church for that battle.  To equip people to fight as the Israelites did at Tekoa and Jesus did on the cross.  They fought with worship and not weapons.  Jesus fought by loving and laying down his life and told his disciples to lay down their swords.  We fight not for victory, but from a place of victory (Romans 8:37). Our purpose is worship and we want to equip people to live that out by sharing the good news of Jesus with them and helping them live a life of worship to God.

We are a church where everyone is welcome and known.  People are valued for who they are and what their background is.  A community where everyone can share and grow on their faith journey and be a maturing disciple of Jesus.  As we gather, the presence of God changes people so that they can be encouraged and ignited to live out their purpose: to love God and make disciples.

Strategy

4 things for our team to be a part of
1. Join our: Gatherings
Large worship gatherings
2. Go to: Elevate
The first step for those new to Tekoa to help elevate them in their spiritual journey, help them progress in discipleship, and connect them to our church.
3. Dive Into: Groups
Regular smaller gatherings for community and discipleship
4. Build the: House
Our team serving and contributing to the mission of Tekoa. Building God's house in the church and in the community.

Grand Opening Strategy

Build our team, resources and community awareness throughout the summer, leading up to our September Launch

Community Building

We will take some Sunday's off to make space for community building. We are encouraging our team to regularly gather those from their community (work/family/friends) with a focus on making these welcoming to those that aren't Christian. These are not explicitly Tekoa events, but the relationships formed are crucial to our mission.

September 12: Launch!

Join us in Prayer

Join us in praying for the launch of Tekoa Church.  We are stepping out in faith and trusting God to provide for us.  We’re asking him for provision to equip us for the ministry he has called us to.

1. God's PResence

The only way for us to make a difference is through the work of the Holy Spirit. God is the one who changes lives. Pray for him to move powerfully through the work of our team to change lives.

2. Team

50 Members in July

The extent of our impact is measured by our team.  We are building a group of people that will together partner with God to build his church.  To be strategically positioned for our grand opening we are praying for 50 people to say yes to joining the team by July.  This includes teams like creative, worship, kids, and guest experience.

3. People to come

We are praying for God to bring people to our events and church gatherings.  Our mission is to reach people that don’t know Jesus and see them come to a new life in him.  Pray for God to bring more people that would encounter the life changing presence of God.

4. Venue

For the right location for us to reach our community. Our target area is from downtown, to the SAP center, and the Rose Garden.  We are looking to rent space on Sunday’s, for our large gathering.

5. Finances

In addition to our monthly operating expenses we are praying for $144,000 for a great launch.  This includes things like marketing, lights, speakers, children’s supplies, signs, and more.  We want to have an incredible experience to position people to encounter God.
